My name is Megan Nielsen, I am an illustrator and admirer of the great outdoors. I grew up in a small town by the ocean and now reside in a small town in the mountains. My background is based in both Art and Interior Design. I am inspired by nature and animals, patterns and materials, and most of my paintings begin from something that inspired me on one of my nature adventures with my family!

Canyon & Cove has been in my fate since the first time I put pencil to paper. I grew up being that doodler that you may have seen in the back of the classroom, and whenever I got any chance at having a drawing assignment you would see me racing to do my homework. After high school, I took a couple classes in painting and design which lead me to a degree in interior design where I earned a great understanding for design and a deep appreciation for what its capabilities are in all aspects of life, but I always knew that painting was my first passion. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree came my largest achievement - my daughter, Finley...and then Crosby to follow.

The time came to get back to the drawing board, and now I actually had time to - well some. It’s amazing how having and raising babies will ground you and bring new purpose to teach your little ones about life; this was why I got back to creating and painting again. However, this time it was backed with a design degree and my new inspiration, and thus Canyon & Cove was born (formerly Little Pine Artistry), and has continued to grow ever since.

My goal from the start has always been to bring beautiful, fun, and modern designs to your home that you can share with your loved ones.
